Volunteering Opportunity - Group Treasurer
With their vital behind the scenes role, our Trustees are dedicated to making sure Scouts runs smoothly, safely, and legally.
We are looking for a Group Treasurer to help us manage our group finances.
We’re looking for safe pairs of hands, ‘i’ dotters and ‘t’ crossers. Sound like you? As our Scout Group Treasurer , you’ll be part of a dynamic team working together to make Scouts operate like a well-oiled machine. Your main role will be managing the groups finances, from checking subs received to controlling the bank account and making payments. You will also be part of the groups trustee board with input to all areas of the running of the group. You’ll make sure everything is set up properly, so that young people have the best experience in Scouts. Trustees see the big picture, make decisions and work together. As a team, you’ll ensure that everything’s being done safely and legally, as well as connecting Scouts with your local community. Oh, and it’s fine if you’ve not been a Trustee before. We’ll support you, making sure you learn everything you need to know, as you go.
